What is Anapana meditation

Anapana is the observation of natural, normal respiration as it enters or leaves the nostrils. It is a simple technique that helps calm and concentrate the mind. In addition, Anapana helps children to better understand themselves and how their minds work. They gain mastery over their impulses and actions and develop an inner strength that helps them choose right and appropriate actions over wrong actions. It provides them with a tool to deal with agitation, and the fears, anxieties and pressures of childhood and adolescence.

How a course is structuredBack to top

The course will begin at 9:00 p.m. and will end at 5:30 p.m., and is intended for children aged 8 to 15 years.
Children engage in moral conduct during the course period to provide a solid foundation for their meditation. They listen to recordings of the instructions and small lectures given by the teacher, S. N. Goenka. The day consists of half-hour sessions of meditation interspersed with physical and recreational activities.
A children's teacher conducts the meditation sessions and gives individual guidance or explanations when necessary. The other helpers of the course are available to accompany the children, take care of their material needs and organize the other activities.

How much does it costBack to top

According to Vipassana tradition, all courses are organized only on the basis of donations. All expenses are borne by donations from those who, after completing a course and experiencing the benefits of meditation on their own, wish to offer others the same opportunity. In this spirit, children and parents can make a donation if they wish at the end of the course.
